P/T Bookkeeper-Payroll Assistant
Osmosis Day Spa Sanctuary is a nationally known leader in the sustainable spa world with a down to earth, non-corporate community feel. We are seeking a competent, self-motivated, reliable and long-term part-time Bookkeeping Payroll Assistant who enjoys being challenged and is able to successfully balance the idyllic atmosphere of the spa with the high demands of this position.
Candidates must have demonstrated experience with Quickbooks Online and experience with and understanding of basic accounting principles to assist Osmosis’ bookkeeper and established internal processes. Please do not apply without Quickbooks Online experience. We are looking for dependability, excellent listening skills, high level of self-motivation yet able to follow instructions, and proven ability to work with discretion in assisting both the bookkeeper and on-site payroll specialist. This part-time position will require candidates with flexibility and availability to accommodate the ongoing work schedule but occasional need to provide for vacation relief and/or end of year business needs purposes.
The position requires very strong PC computer skills with Quickbooks Online experience and solid knowledge of accounting principles and organization. You will need to be adept with Google Drive, MS Office and comfortable-enjoy working with accurate database entry and manual calculations. The assistant will also be trained to do Osmosis’ intricate payroll and/or assist with payroll preparation. Applicants must have demonstrated and prior experience of doing payroll to hard deadlines and we prefer experience in processing larger payrolls which include various statuses (i.e. f/t, p/t, piece rate).
Starting wage is $20.00 per hour with eligibility for a wage increase after a successful completion of the first 90 days and the potential of an annual increase based upon successful yearly reviews. Job status: Part-Time: Typically, 8 hours week with increased hours occasionally for vacation coverage + per business need. Training period hours can go up to 15 hours per week. After training period, Mondays and Thursdays are the days we are seeking ongoing coverage for.
