All About Exfoliation

There are specific steps to skincare that are essential for a clear and radiant complexion. One way to keep your skin looking beautiful and healthy is through exfoliation. What is exfoliation?? It is the removal of dead skin cells that cling to the skins outermost layer. Our skin naturally turns over dead cells every 30-42 days, but as we age this process slows down significantly so it is essential to keep up on exfoliation ourselves. When done correctly, exfoliation leaves skin feeling smoother and looking fresher. It also helps allow for products such as cremes and serums to penetrate better into the skin. Some exfoliants such as harsh scrubs can irritate and even damage skin.

Phyts Organic Skincare offers a gentle yet very effective product for your at home regimen, Gommage Contact +. This product is truly a favorite amongst Osmosis staff and we know you will love it too. It leaves your skin unbelievably soft, eliminates toxins, oxygenates and brightens. It is even gentle enough for the delicate eye and lip area as it has no abrasive material. Gommage Contact + has a consistency similar to a facial masque and smells of lavender, clove and ylang ylang. It is appropriate for all skin types, including rosacea.
