Making the Most of Your Visit

Please arrive at least twenty minutes prior to your scheduled appointment. This will allow time to check-in, take a comfort break, and change prior to the beginning of your service as well as filling-out our brief intake form.

You may choose to print and complete your intake form prior to your visit by clicking here. Your arrival time will determine the length of your treatment time, which will end as scheduled so that the next guest may begin promptly.

Lockers, robes, and towels are provided for all guests. Showers are available upon request before and after treatments.

Our prices do not include gratuities. Gratuities are an opportunity to acknowledge and express appreciation for your service provider, and generally range from 15%-20% of the price of the service. If you are dissatisfied with your service, please let us know.

Ages 14 yrs and older may receive a facial. All facial guests under 18 must have a parent-signed consent form before receiving treatment.

For the comfort and enjoyment of our guest, our sanctuary is free from cell phones, pets and smoking.

During any service please let your practitioner know if you feel any discomfort or would like special attention on a particular area. The best treatments come from honest communication. Please inform us of areas of your body which are injured, tense or sore. Also mention pregnancy or any medical conditions such as high blood pressure, a heart problem, chronic headaches, varicose veins, or recent surgery.

Your Massage Therapist will use professional draping techniques during your treatment, therefore clothing is optional for most sessions. Essential Meridian Massage, Thai massage, and Shiatsu massage require loose-fitting, comfortable clothing so disrobing is not needed. Please arrive in your preferred attire, or bring it with you.

To enjoy the maximum benefit of your massage our therapists will keep conversation to a minimum. You are welcomed to breathe deeply and fully relax during your treatment. Always feel free to speak up if there is anything your therapist can do to make you more comfortable.

Very often, as the body releases tension during a spa treatment, the mind will release emotion. If you suddenly feel sad, angry, or joyful, do not be alarmed. Allow yourself to express these feelings by crying or laughing. At the very least, feel free to sigh with relaxation or hum with pleasure. Many people fall asleep during a treatment, an indication that the body and mind are releasing stress and tension. The practitioner will gently wake you if you need to move or it is time to end the treatment.

The Cedar Enzyme Bath is a heat treatment and as such is not recommended for those who are pregnant, have high blood pressure, uncontrolled diabetes or are undergoing chemotherapy treatment.

We have two single showers available for guests who arrive by bicycle or wish to cool off or clean-up before or after their treatment.

Please note that our changing rooms are gender specific and communal.

We have outdoor clogs for guests enjoying a pagoda massage, but we suggest bringing your own sandals or slippers to wear in the spa and on the grounds for your comfort.

Our spa is now CLOSED. We will be sending out an announcement to our email list when it is appropriate to reopen again. We look forward to serving you as soon as possible. In the meantime, your support through GIFT CERTIFICATES and/or online RETAIL STORE is greatly appreciated during these unprecedented times.
