Winter Solstice Sunrise Ceremony

Our place here on salmon creek is home to many animals and plants.
We humans are just day visitors.
Morning fog and mist hangs long in this cool bottomland. On cold winter nights the
water vapors often crystalize into frost and ice. The chill
has a special quality of stillness, which brings us closer to the quiet energies of this
valley village, known as Freestone.
 
We are gathering at 8am on Monday December 21st to acknowledge this place in our
water shed, in cycle of time and the trajectory of our lives.
There will be a calling out to our ancestors, plant and animal beings to join in a circle
of prayer and alchemy to bring forth the full power of this critical moment when
darkness subsides and the light begins to return.
 
Community spirit leaders Elizabeth Moriarty and Kathleen Harrison will facilitate
our journey.
