Green Spa Network's Congress a Success

Green Spa Network's 2009 Congress in early November was a watershed event, redefining the role of spas as vitality centers for community and global resilience. “This event was a true turning point for GSN,” explained Michael Stusser, founding president of the non-profit organization. “From here forward we will be part of humanity's immune-system response to what is happening on the planet, by playing a visible role in the effort to transform mankind’s destructive tendencies affecting the environment and human health.”

The event took place appropriately enough at Rancho La Puerta, the birthplace of true spaing in North America, founded by Professor Edmond Szekely and his wife Deborah nearly 70 years ago. Participants came away with renewed energy to evolve their green spas into vital places of health and wellness that will extend into their communities and support a graceful transition to the post carbon era.
