 Osmosis is located in the small town of Freestone, which is Sonoma County's first Historic District. Once a booming railroad stop, this now sleepy paradise is also home to the famous Wild Flour Bakery, Freestone Vineyards and several historical buildings.

Please note during winter weather alerts we recommend an alternate route (see Detailed Directions). Some GPS devices do not recognize the town of Freestone, in order to ensure accurate directions,please enter our address with the town of Sebastopol, CA.

May's Road Trip

Starting in Marin, head to Lagunitas on Sir Francis Drake Blvd from Hwy 101 is just over 12.5 miles and approximately 25 minutes for lunch at Arti Natural Organic Indian Café, with great reviews on YELP. Or for morning pastries and coffee try the Bovine Bakery in Point Reyes Station, just under 23 miles and 45 minutes from Hwy 101 on Sir Francis Drake/Shoreline Hwy/CA 1. 

If you get your pastries and coffee to go, you can enjoy them on the secluded beach at Millerton Beach State Park just under 5 miles and 8 minutes from Point Reyes Station on Shoreline Hwy/CA 1.

On your return trip enjoy dinner or even spend the night at Nick's Cove just over 15 miles and 25 minutes from Osmosis on CA 1. Or try the accommodations and gorgeous views of Ann’s View on Tomales Bay.

If you have time and an interest in the Conservation Science and Habitat Protection programs ofAudubon Canyon Ranch, public access is available to Cypress Grove Research Center by appointment only at cgrc@egret.org.
